La position des rétros a changé plusieurs fois durant la semaine mancelle. Le jour du départ
ils étaient fixés sur des supports métalliques en forme de trapeze. C'est cette version que je vais faire.
J'ai d'abord récupéré des rétros dans ma boite à rabiot car il n'y en avait pas dans le kit. Ensuite
j'ai pris quelques mesures et références sur des photos puis j'ai construit les supports en carte plastique. Il m'a fallut construire
4 supports pour en avoir deux de bons.
The position of the mirors has changed many time during the week. The day of the race, they were placed on the top of trapezoidal
structures in metal. It is this version I'm giong to built.
No mirors supplied with my kit, thus I've looked for two suitable parts in my stock. I've then taken some references on pictures and built the supports
in plastic card. I had to built a total or four pieces in order to have to correct ones.
J'ai soigneusement masqué le kit avant de pulvériser du noir mat à l'intérieur du chassis, dans les entrées et les sorties des radiateurs latéraux ainsi que l'extracteur.
J'ai aussi masqué l'aileron avant de peindre sa partie arrière en Chrome Silver Model Masters.
Les rétros sont peints au pinceau en noir mat et chrome silver.
I've then painted in iside of the body, the side radiators and air exit with mat black, and the extractor after having carefully masked the rest of the car.
I've also masked the wing and sprayed chrome silver enamel at its back end.
The mirrors are painted with a brush in chrome silver and mat black.
Sur la partie arrière du capot moteur, l'espace entre les feux est peint en Chrome Silver Model Masters. Les ouies d'évacuation de l'air sont peintes en noir puis "dry brushées" avec de l'Alu pour mettre en relief les grillages de ces ouies. L'aneau de remorquage est ensuite mis en place.
At the back of the engine cover, the part between the lights is painted in Chrome Silver from Model Masters. The openings for hot air extraction are painted in black and then drybrushed with alu to show the meshes of these openings.
La pose des vitres (pare brises, fenêtres) se fait par l'intérieur. Je les fixe par un ou deux points de cyano et je sécurise ensuite avec un filet de colle blanche diluée
tout autour des vitrages. C'est un peu plus compliqué pour la protection de l'entrée d'air moteur, car il faut aussi découper des trous oblongs pour le passage de l'air et laisser un passage sur la partie inférieure de la pièce.
Pour se faire il est important de bien repérer les endroits à percer/découper en traçant sur de la bande cache.
The various windows and the windscreen are put in place by the inside of the car. They are fixed with one or two drip of cyanoacrylate glue. It is then secured by a strip of thined white glue layed with a brush around the windows.
It's a bit more complicated for the engine intake protection, which has oblong openings to let the air arriving in the engine. There is also an opening to make at the bottom of the part.
To do so it's important to mark the points where to drill/cut by drawing on tape.
