Depuis 2006, on sait que la 911 n'est plus l'épouvantail à battre en GT2.
Cette année ce sont les Ferrari F430GT qui s'attaquent ouvertement aux Porsche.
Plus nombreuses que les Porsches, les Italiennes sont aussi plus rapide. Après le sprint initial
abandonné aux 911, la Ferrari n°97 du Risi Racing va mener la danse en GT2 pendant 11 Heures. Hélas,
au matin, la belle glissera sur une flaque d'huile... Pompe à eau et radiateur endommagés, c'est l'inévitable
abandon. La F430 de la Scuderia Ecosse prendra alors le relais mais la transmission cassée à 10H16 laissera
libre la voie vers la victoire pour la Porsche IMSA.
Porsche n'est pas encore mort en GT2, mais la bagarre fut rude !
Since 2006, we know that the 911 is not the "car to be beaten" in GT2 anymore. This year the Ferrari's F430GT are
racing for the lead in the category.
Ferraris are many more and they are quicker than the Porsches. After the initial sprint, given to the 911, the Risi Racing Ferrari will
lead the GT2 category for 11 Hours. Unfortunately, the sweet Italian will slide on a oil puddle... water pum and radiators damaged made the car
retire after a very good race. The scuderia Ecosse F430 will then take the lead but the transmission broke at quarter past ten in the morning,
giving the victory for the IMSA Porsche.
Porsche still not dead in GT2, but the battle was so hard !
