Audi se présente cette année comme le grandissime favori. Chrysler et Cadillac sont bien là mais c'est leur première participation. Puisqu'il n'y a que peu de périls, audi ira chercher la gloire en monopolisant les trois premières places de la grille et en menant la course de bout en bout, loin devant "les autres". Au final, c'est la n° 8 pilotée par Biela, Kristensen et Pirro qui s'imposera devant ses deux soeurs d'écurie. Derrière la "planète Audi" et après une lutte féroce, c'est la Courage d'Henri Pescarolo qui émergera.
Audi appears this year as the great favourite. Chrysler and Cadillac are there of course but it is their first participation. Because there are only few dangers, Audi will fetch the glory by monopolizing the first three places of the starting grid and by leading the race from start to finish, far ahead of " the others ". In the final, it is the car n°8 of Biela, Kristensen and Pirro who will win in front of its two sisters cars. Behind the "planet Audi" and after a wild fight, it is Henri Pescarolo's Courage which will appear.
