Souvent bien placé en GTE Am mais jamais gagnant au Mans, François Perrodo tient enfin son Graal.
La Ferrari n° 83 est partie assez loin, ayant raté ses qualifs mais se trouve aux avants postes dès le départ, occupant même la première place du GTE Am en fin de première heure.
S'ensuivit une furieurse bagarre avec la 911 Proton-Dempsey, les Ferrari Kessel et Cetilar ainsi que l'Aston TF Sport. Sur une piste piégeuse, les teams se battaient à coups de secondes avec d'infimes écarts.
A partir de 2H du matin, la bataille ne concernait plus que la Ferrari AF Corse et l'Aston. Pour ne pas hypothéquer les chances de sa voiture, François Perrodo a volontairement limité son temps de pilotage pour laisser ses équipiers
Nielsen et Rovera s'exprimer sur la piste. Au final, c'est la Ferrari qui s'impose, pour 90 Secondes.
Often with a good result at Le Mans, with no wins anyway, François Perrodo finally grabs its Graal. After poor qualifications, the AF Corse n°83 Ferrari is already in the leading pack from the start and is able to achieve the first hour in the first place of GTE Am. It was then a frantic battle with the Proton-Dempsey 911, the Kessel and Cetilar Ferraris and the TF Sport Aston Martin. On an hazardous track, each team was pushing as much as he can with gaps small as a second between the cars. From 2 a.m, only the AF Corse and the TF Sport were concerned by the victory. Knowing he was slower than his two team mates, François Perrodo let Nielsen and Rovera behind the wheel as much as they can, reducing its own driving time. Finally, the n°83 took the chequered flag wirh a gap of 90 seconds.
