Connue en F1 mais débutante en endurance, l'équipe Manor a fait une entrée en matière assez impressionnante.
Déjà aux essais, Graves, Rao et Merhi se seont permis d'aller taquiner les meilleurs et se sont qualifiés au 4eme rang du LM P2.
En course, non seulement Roberto Merhi s'est permis d'établir le meilleur tour en course de la catégorie, mais en plus la n°44 s'est offert le luxe
de pointer au commandes du groupe pendant 44 tours, se maintenant septièmes au général!
Malheureusement, à 21h32 il faudra changer le démarreur ce qui repoussera l'oreca à neuf tours des leaders du LMP2. Roulant ensuite très vite
Graves, Rao et Merhi remonteront de la 52eme à la 28eme place mais un accident au virage Porsche, consécutif à une sortie de piste à Indianapolis
mettra un terme à cette belle démonstration.
Known in F1 but quite novice in endurance, the Manor team made impressive debuts.
For a good start, Graves, Rao and Merhi took the liberty of teasing the bests and qualified the car 4th in LM P2 class.
During the race, not only Roberto Merhi signed the fastest race lap of the P2 but also the n°44 had the pleasure to lead the LMP2 during... 44 laps while occupying the 7th position overall !
Unfortunately, the starter had to be replaced at 9.32 P.M. making the Oreca losing 9 laps. Racing then at high pace the Manor's car climbed back up from 52 to 28th position Overall. Anyway an accident at sunday morning at the Porsche curve,
consecutively to a spin at Inidanapolis gave an end to the impressive race of the Manor.
