Avec leur début de saison flamboyant, les Rebellions pouvaient envisager le meilleur au Mans. D'ailleurs
réduisant l'écart de 10 à 6 secondes avec le meilleurs Hybrides, l'équipe Rebellion prouvait qu'elle avait bien travaillé.
Malheureusement, dès 15h24 la n°12 commence la longue série de soucis par des problèmes de boite de vitesse. Si la 13 roulera sans problèmes
jusqu'à 4 heures du matin, elle sera definitivement arrêtée sur le circuit par un problème moteur insoluble, alors qu'elle était à la cinquième place.
10 minutes avant 5 heures, la 12 revient au stand pour 44 minutes pour remplacer son embrayage.
Au final, la n°12 de Prost-Heidfel et Piquet termine à la 29eme place, loin, très loin des meilleurs, faute à une fiabilité toujours pas retrouvée sur le double tour d'horloge Sarthois.

Rebellion team showed to the world they made a very good job.
Unfortunately since 15h24 the car n°12 is starting the long serie of problems with gearbox issues. The n°13 had a peacefull race until 4 in the morning, when its was definitely stopped on the track with
unsolvable engine problems while installed 5th overall. Moreover, 10min before 5 o'clock the n°12 is back to its pits for 44 minutes, time ro replace the clutch.
In the end, the n°12 of Prost-Heidfel and Piquet is classified 29th far, far removed from the bests due to a reliability still to be back.
